Sunil Grover Won’t Make Return to The Kapil Sharma Show

"At present, I am focusing on live shows and nothing else."

Sunil Grover has confirmed that he won’t return to The Kapil Sharma Show.

He denied reports of him appearing in a future episode of the show and he will now focus on live performances.

Since the highly publicised incident where Kapil Sharma hit his co-star with a shoe, Sunil Grover had remained silent about his future. However, rumours surfaced with reports saying he will rejoin the show.

The rumours also say he shot an upcoming episode.

All of which have prompted Sunil Grover to emphatically declare that he is not doing anything of the sort. He spoke exclusively to Mid-Day. When asked about the rumours, Sunil Grover declared: “It’s all a lie.”

The comedian even went on to state:

“At present, I am focusing on live shows and nothing else. I am not talking to any other channel.”

The report pressed him further about the situation. But, Sunil Grover refused to comment. Instead, he steered the conversation on other things. He spoke of his recent live performance in Assam, saying:

“I am overwhelmed by the love I am getting from the audience. Performing live is exhilarating.”

It appears that with this statement, the star has made a final decision. All of this comes after the infamous incident on an Air India flight from Melbourne to Delhi.

On the flight, Kapil Sharma got quite irate as he felt his crew had insulted him by eating their food before him. Sunil Grover tried to calm his friend. But, instead he received insults and Kapil Sharma hit him with a shoe.

After the incident, Grover avoided attending shooting for The Kapil Sharma Show. Sparking rumours that the comedian had left the show.

And now it appears the star himself has confirmed he won’t return.

Especially with the announcement coming today of someone new appearing on the show. Instead of Grover returning, the cast of Sony’s show, Sabse Bada Kalakar, will be appearing on The Kapil Sharma Show.

A blow to fans of the Grover-Sharma duo, but the story may not be over yet. Stay tuned for more!
