A new series of The Kapil Sharma Show is on the way and a promo video announced the premiere date.
The show had been on a break as the team was touring North America.
But now a teaser trailer revealed when the show will be back and which cast members were returning.
The clip showed Kapil waking from a coma and is surprised to see lots of people standing around his bed.
He remembers everyone apart from his on-screen wife Sumona.
Upon seeing Sumona, Kapil asks: “Who is this sister?”
When he is told by the others that she is his wife, Kapil appears upset.
When Ghazal makes an entrance with a bouquet of flowers, Kapil begins to feel better. He calls her “darling” before running over and giving her a hug.
Kapil then tells her: “36-34… the digits on your scooter’s number plate.”
Archana Puran Singh makes an appearance and pulls Kapil by his collar and says:
“You have forgotten your wife, but you remember her scooter’s number?”
Meanwhile, Kapil teases her for taking the apple that was by his bedside.
The group soon laugh together.

Along with the video, Sony TV announced that the new series will premiere on September 10, 2022.
The caption read: “Kapil Sharma is back with a new season and new reasons to make you laugh. Watch The Kapil Sharma Show on Saturday and Sunday at 9:30 pm on Sony TV.”
Kapil previously shared a glimpse of his new look from the upcoming season.
He wore a black T-shirt and black trousers. He topped it off with a white blazer, sunglasses and sneakers. His edgy look also featured a new hairstyle.
It is reported that the first guest of the new series will be Akshay Kumar.
He will be promoting his upcoming film Cuttputtli and will be accompanied by his co-stars Rakul Preet Singh, Sargun Mehta and Chandrachur Singh.
Meanwhile, Krushna Abhishek confirmed that he will not be returning to the show.
He had played several characters, including Jackie Dada, Dharmendra and Sapna.
Krushna had said: “Not doing it. Agreement issues.”
Speaking about Krushna leaving the comedy show, one source said:
“The makers and Krushna tried their best to work things out. One of the major concerns was the fee.
“Eventually, monetary differences prompted him to leave The Kapil Sharma Show.
“However, we are hoping that the differences get resolved in due course of time and Krushna returns to the show.”
