“Punam Krishan is definitely the worst dancer now"
Former Strictly Come Dancing professional Brendan Cole named Dr Punam Krishan the “worst dancer” left on the BBC One show in a brutal dig.
The Scottish GP has had a mixed time on the dance show.
Punam had an incredible week three where she made history with the show’s first Bollywood performance and scored 33 out of 40.
However, she was close to tears in week four after the judges’ tough comments and only scored 20, leaving her and partner Gorka Marquez bottom of the leaderboard.
Judge Motsi Mabuse told the pair there “were too many mistakes”.
Meanwhile, Craig Revel-Horwood described their Jive as “messy and sloppy”, adding:
“Not your night, I’m afraid.”
Ex-Strictly pro Brendan Cole has now given his thoughts on the remaining celebrities and did not hold back on Punam.
Brendan, who is currently working with Sky Vegas, said:
“Chris McCausland is probably one of the least able technical dancers out there but a lot of that is due to not being able to see what exactly has to happen within the move.
“So, on that basis, he should probably be somebody near the bottom two, but his flair and his ability to do everything else will easily keep him out of the bottom two.
“Even if he wasn’t in the bottom two, the judges probably wouldn’t send him home because what he’s doing is actually quite brilliant.
“It was a very entertaining dance, Dianne Buswell has been getting the choreography exactly right.
“Punam Krishan is definitely the worst dancer now that Nick Knowles has gone.
“Nick’s number was pretty bad, but it’s a shame because I actually liked what he did.”
Brendan, who quit the show in 2017, also hit out at former Love Island star Tasha Ghouri and her trendy dance routine.
He told The Mirror:
“I didn’t like Tasha having a selfie stick on the floor, for me, that doesn’t have a place, but they’re trying to be different and new.”
Brendan Cole’s comments came after the lowest-scoring dances were Nick Knowles and Luba Mushtuk’s Charleston, and Punam and Gorka’s Jive.

Despite getting emotional, Dr Punam Krishan promised she wouldn’t let the setback get to her, acknowledging that “sometimes things don’t go the way you planned”.
She also admitted that she made mistakes and was upset because she “loved [the dance] so much”.
