Sonam Kapoor gave an update on her post-pregnancy weight loss journey, revealing she has lost 20 kilograms.
Since giving birth in August 2022, Sonam has been trying to strike a balance between her personal and professional lives.
She continues to inspire new mothers on how to lose weight after giving birth and maintain a toned figure.
Taking to her Instagram Story, Sonam shared a mirror selfie.
Wearing an athleisure co-ord, Sonam flaunted her toned body and wrote:
“What a wow… 20 kgs down…6 more to go.”
Sonam Kapoor’s fitness regime consists of a combination of weight training and pilates.
Different techniques help to keep herself flexible and motivated, which increases her concentration and balance.
She also practises swimming, squash and yoga every day.
Sonam pairs her fitness routine with a nutritious meal plan.
The actress begins her day with a warm glass of water, followed by honey and lemon mixed in a glass.
For breakfast, she has seasonal fruit, an egg white omelette with toast and another glass of warm water. Occasionally, she has idli and poha.
Her mid-morning snack is a protein shake.
Sonam’s biggest meal is lunch, which includes grilled chicken, fruit and curd, with seasonal vegetables and bran flour chapatis.
For dinner, Sonam Kapoor keeps things light with a vegetable or chicken sandwich with salad.
Detailing her post-pregnancy journey, she said:
“It’s taken me 16 months to feel like myself again. Slowly steadily without any crash diets and crazy workouts just consistent self-care and baby care.
“I’m not there yet but almost where I want to be… still very very grateful for my body and how incredible it has been.”
“Being a woman is a wondrous thing.”
Sonam and her husband Anand Ahuja welcomed Vayu in August 2022.
Their announcement message read:
“On 20.08.2022, we welcomed our beautiful baby boy with bowed heads and open hearts.
“Thank you to all of the doctors, nurses, friends and family who have supported us on this journey. It’s only the beginning, but we know our lives are forever changed.”
Sonam began 2024 by reflecting on the events over the past year.
She wrote: “The last year has been a roller coaster. Coming to accept the fact that we are parents and all the joys and fears that come with it.
“Understanding that I had changed drastically emotionally, physically and spiritually and that comes with pain, acceptance and eventually exhilaration.”
Sonam Kapoor made her acting comeback in 2023 with Blind.
Sonam has signed two new projects as well, one of them being Battle for Bittora. The details of the other project are being kept under wraps currently.
