the suspect "photographed and filmed the entire episode"

A Pakistani model, named Roshaan, from Lahore’s Nankana area, who went to have a photo shoot at a studio in Sialkot, has registered a case with police for alleged rape and sexual assault against Bilal Rauf.

The model was called in Lahore by the owner, Rauf, of the studio in Sialkot, to attend a sham photo shoot for a clothing brand.

However, after Rashoon arrived at the studio, she realised there was no photoshoot and that she had been tricked. Then, Rauf began to sexually assault her.

Rashoon’s statement with the police alleges that Rauf raped her and filmed the incident.

According to the FIR registered with the police, it says the suspect “photographed and filmed the entire episode in order to blackmail her.”

She says that after the rape and assault, Rauf tried to exploit and blackmail her by threatening to leak the video and photos of the rape online, if she tried to report the incident.

After her police report, Rauf was located and arrested the man on December 29, 2018.

He is being held in custody while the police investigation continues.

This is not the first instance of a case like this. There have been many other similar cases which have been registered with the police.

Photographers and modelling agencies have been known to exploit young Pakistani women who are pursuing modelling and acting.

Since there are no professional contracts or checks made with such photographers or agencies, models are very much at risk of such exploitation.

In a related case, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested a man in Karachi on Friday, December 21, 2018, for allegedly trying to blackmail a woman in Lahore to marry him.

According to the FIA report, the suspect was threatening to publish intimate photos and videos of her online if she did not agree to marry him.

He had actually arrived in Lahore from Karachi with a baraat (groom’s wedding party). But to his surprise, a team of FIA Cybercrime officers arrested him at Lahore railway station, upon his arrival.

A case has been registered under Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016, against the man who is charged with blackmail and harassment.
