Sonam Kapoor and her husband, Anand Ahuja, have welcomed their second child, a baby boy.
The news was shared in a joint Instagram post, confirming the arrival of their son on March 29, 2026.
The post read: “With immense gratitude and hearts full of love, we are delighted to announce the arrival of our baby boy today, 29th of March 2026.
“Our family has grown, and with his arrival, our hearts have expanded in the most beautiful way.
“Vayu is overjoyed to welcome his little brother, and we feel deeply blessed by this precious new life who has filled our home with happiness and grace.
“We are grateful to begin this beautiful new chapter as a family of four.”
Congratulatory messages quickly followed from across the film industry.
Kareena Kapoor posted love heart emojis and wrote: “Congratulations Sona and Anand.”
Kajal Aggarwal said: “Big congratulations @sonamkapoor @anandahuja.”
Bhavana Pandey added: “Congratulations!!! Lots of love and blessings.”

Sonam’s father and Bollywood icon Anil Kapoor shared an emotional message shortly after the birth of his grandson.
He wrote: “And just like that… my heart has grown even bigger.
“Welcome to the world, my little one, you are already so deeply loved.”
“Vayu, you’re a big brother now… and I know you’ll be amazing.
“Thank you, Sonam and Anand…Nana’s heart is full. Welcome to the madness, my baby-welcome to a lifetime of love.”
Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s second arrival comes nearly four years after their first child, Vayu Kapoor Ahuja, who was born in August 2022.
Sonam confirmed her second pregnancy in November 2025 with a chic 80s-inspired look.
Wearing a vintage-inspired hot pink Escada power suit, the actress cradled her baby bump and captioned the post: “Mother.”
In a follow-up Instagram Story, she added: “Coming spring 2026.”
Throughout her second pregnancy, Sonam embraced maternity fashion, ranging from a black crop top to a pink Kalamkari saree.
On the acting front, Sonam has been on a hiatus.
She was last seen in the 2023 crime thriller Blind, however, the film received negative reviews.
