Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja are reportedly expecting their second child, with a source claiming that an official announcement could be coming soon.

The couple, who married in May 2018, welcomed their first son, Vayu, in August 2022.

According to Pinkvilla, Sonam is preparing to embrace motherhood again.

A source said: “Sonam is in the second trimester of her pregnancy, and the news has brought immense joy to both families.”

However, Sonam revealed she and Anand ended up talking all night, quickly discovering their connection. Anand later sent her a Facebook friend request, making the first move. They soon began dating and eventually tied the knot in 2018.

In a previous interview, Sonam recalled: “Sometimes, people believe that when they have similar interests, they can be together.

“No one would think of Anand and me together because Anand is totally different. He had no idea that Anil Kapoor was my father.

“I ended up speaking to Anand… the whole evening.

“Anand was trying to get me to talk to his friend… like being the middleman. But we ended up talking more.”

Anand also shared his perspective: “The first time we met, we talked about our respective work.

“I was just struck by the fact that I could speak to her so openly about everything.

“We were chatting on Snapchat one night and she said, ‘Stop texting, just call me’. And we spoke for two hours that night… Our friendship started over superficial things like vegan chocolates and sneakers but soon we were having deeper conversations.”
