"Today that love has guided us through all the challenges"
After much speculation, Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal are finally married.
The couple, who have been in a relationship for several years, opted for a low-key registry marriage.
The ceremony took place at Sonakshi’s apartment in Bandra, Mumbai, on the evening of June 23, 2024.
Afterwards, Sonakshi shared the first official pictures from her big day.
The couple were dressed in matching off-white outfits and looked radiant as they could be seen smiling in the pictures.
They were surrounded by loved ones.

Sonakshi captioned the photos: “On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017) in each other’s eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it.
“Today that love has guided us through all the challenges and triumphs… leading up to this moment… where with the blessings of both our families and both our gods… we are now man and wife.
“Here’s to love, hope and all things beautiful with each other, from now until forever.”
The wedding ceremony was attended by family members and close friends, including her Heeramandi co-star Aditi Rao Hydari.
The pre-wedding festivities began on June 22 with pujas held at Sonakshi’s family home.
Sonakshi Sinha, dressed in blue, attended the puja alongside her mother, Poonam Sinha.
Before the puja, the couple hosted an indoor party for friends and family on June 20, followed by a mehendi ceremony on June 21.
Among the attendees were Sonakshi’s parents, Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha.
According to reports, they had also organised bachelor and bachelorette parties with their respective friends.

Shatrughan Sinha’s presence at the party put to rest rumours that he disapproved of the union and would not attend the wedding.
Speculation had arisen after Shatrughan said that he was “waiting to be informed” about his daughter’s wedding.
He said: “All I can say is, nowadays, children don’t seek permission; they simply inform their parents.”
Similarly, when Sonakshi’s brother Luv Sinha was asked about the wedding speculation, he refused to respond and said:
“I’ve no involvement in the matter.”
However, Shatrughan later dismissed such rumours and confirmed he would be present at the wedding and assured that he was supporting his daughter.
He said: “I will be there at the wedding, certainly. Why shouldn’t I and why won’t I? Her happiness is my happiness and vice versa.
“She has every right to choose her partner and the other details of her wedding.”
