"I was so embarrassed to say it."

Actor and filmmaker Sohail Khan became emotional in the latest episode of Alliance recently.

His team topped the leaderboard this week, marking a significant achievement in the competition.

The Prime Video reality show has featured his lighter side through celebrations after wins.

However, the episode also included a deeply personal disclosure from the veteran actor.

Sohail shared that he was sexually harassed as a child.

He revealed that he did not speak about the traumatic incident for many years.

The disclosure marked a significant moment of vulnerability on the reality television show.

Sohail spoke about the incident during a conversation with other contestants present.

Arslan Goni, Ruhee Dosani and Aly Goni were part of the serious discussion.

He said the experience shaped how he communicates with his own children.

He has always told them never to feel shy or embarrassed about speaking up.

If someone bullies them or harms them, they should always inform him immediately.

Speaking against ragging, Sohail said he had also faced sexual harassment when young:

“I was sexually harassed by somebody when I was young, and I kept that within me for years.

“When I grew up and became an adult, I confided in my father.

“I told him, ‘Daddy, this happened to me.’

“He said, ‘Son, you kept this inside you for so many years.’ I said, ‘I am so sorry, but I was so embarrassed to say it.’

“I was not at fault, but I felt ashamed.”

“So I keep telling my children, no matter what happens, tell me everything.”

His quote demonstrated the shame he carried despite being the victim of harassment.

He carried the burden of misplaced shame for many years before confiding.

It took him reaching adulthood to finally open up to his father.

His father’s response showed understanding and compassion toward his traumatic experience.

In the same episode, Sohail also said he misses his family quite deeply.

He broke down emotionally while talking about his family members during the show.

He told host Kunal Kemmu about missing his loved ones very much.

Although he has judged and hosted reality shows in the past, he had never fully understood the pressure contestants face until now.

Participating as a contestant has given him newfound appreciation for the experience.

According to Sohail Khan, the show taught him something important and valuable.
