"He assaulted me. He hit my arm. I’m going to the police.”
In Canada, a Sikh man was caught on camera appearing to hit a woman.
Things escalated in Burlington, Ontario after the woman allegedly cut the line for parking outside Costco.
The video began with the Indian man, wearing a yellow turban, sticking his middle finger up at the woman while she filmed him.
Accusing the woman of cutting in line to take a parking space, the unnamed man pointed at another motorist and said:
“He was waiting for a long time.”
The woman remained calm and replied:
“Okay, we talked to the guy over there. He told us he’s coming here, and we followed him.”
However, the Sikh man ignored her explanation:
“Doesn’t matter. Who was waiting?”
He grew more irritated as the woman called him the “traffic police”.
The man approached her and then appeared to hit her, causing the camera to go out of focus.
When the woman composed herself, she said:
“He assaulted me. He hit my arm. I’m going to the police.”
The man is then joined by a woman believed to be his wife, who tries to defend his actions whilst trying to calm the enraged individual.
Meanwhile, the Canadian woman repeatedly states that she was assaulted.
Seemingly acknowledging the assault, the woman asks the man:
“Aapne maara kyun? (Why did you hit her).”
The argument continues, with the apparent couple claiming the woman cut ahead of another car.
The man said: “He was waiting for a long time. We were waiting for him.”
His relative added: “You have to follow rules.”
The video ended with a police officer standing next to the Sikh man.

The footage went viral and some said the man was arrested, however, they are unconfirmed reports.
It led to backlash against Indians, with many posting comments about immigration.
One wrote:
“Hitting a woman over a parking spot? Unacceptable. What’s the screening procedure for immigration to Canada?”
Criticising Canada’s Indian population and their behaviour, another said:
“They never assimilate, they never respect the laws and you can never understand them.
“I was asked for high levels of IELTS tests for my citizenship and the PR.
“It took me years yet this specific demographic seems to roll in without any of the requirements.”
Several comments read “deport him” while one person suggested:
“Instead of jail deport him and save court and jail costs.”
