"Pray that the truth comes out."

A murder angle was ruled out by AIIMS in relation to the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

His sister Shweta Singh Kirti has now said that her attention is focused on the CBI’s findings.

A team of four doctors concluded that Sushant died by hanging after taking his own life, dismissing the claims that he was murdered.

Forensic Head Dr Sudhir Gupta said: “We have concluded our conclusive report. It is a case of hanging and death by suicide.

“There were no injuries over the body other than hanging. There were no marks of struggle/scuffle on the body and clothes of the deceased.”

After the medical examination results were presented to the CBI, the agency said it will continue its investigation into abetment to suicide.

An official said: “All aspects are still open in the probe, if any evidence comes to light proving otherwise, Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (murder) will be added, but nothing has come up in 45 days of probe.”

Sushant’s sister Shweta has now taken to social media and stated that it is up to the CBI to find out the truth about what happened to her brother.

She wrote: “The test of faith is when you can stay strong and unshaken during the testing time.

“I urge my extended family to have faith in God and pray from all your heart. Pray that the truth comes out.”

Shweta concluded her post with #AllEyesOnCBI. Sushant’s ex-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande showed her support and reposted the message with the same hashtag.

Despite the AIIMS report ruling out a murder angle, the family lawyer, Vikas Singh called the report “inconclusive” as the doctors relied on photographs.

He said:

“AIIMS report is not conclusive and CBI in its charge sheet can still file a case of murder in Sushant Singh Rajput death case.”

Sushant was found dead at his apartment on June 14, 2020.

It was initially believed to be suicide, however, many, including his family, claimed he was murdered.

His family accused his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty of being responsible. She currently remains in custody on drug-related charges pertaining to the case.

Vikas Singh previously alleged that an AIIMS doctor had told him that the ligature marks on Sushant’s neck were consistent with strangulation.

He said: “AIIMS doctor told me that Sushant’s death was by strangulation.”

However, the claims were rejected.

Rhea’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde said that they will await the CBI’s report.

In a statement, he said: “I have seen the statement of the doctors from AIIMS concerning SSR case.

“The official papers and report are only with AIIMS and CBI, which will be submitted in court once investigations are over. We await the official version of CBI.

“We on behalf of Rhea Chakraborty have always said that truth cannot be changed under any circumstances.

“The speculations against Rhea in some quarters of the media are motivated and mischievous. We remain committed to Truth Alone. Satya Meva Jayte.”
