Bangladeshi superstar Shakib Khan was reportedly injured on set while filming for his upcoming film Borbaad in Mumbai.

The production was running smoothly until an unexpected incident occurred, leaving fans concerned.

During a scene, Shakib accidentally collided with a door, sustaining an injury just above his eye.

This mishap was detailed by the film’s director, Mehedi Hassan Hridoy, in an interview.

The incident took place on the afternoon of November 8, 2024.

It happened while Shakib was preparing for a scene where he needed to walk through a door.

As he opened the door, he accidentally struck his forehead, resulting in a cut near his eyebrow.

The crew quickly paused the shoot and rushed him to a nearby hospital in Mumbai. There, a CT scan was performed to assess the injury.

Fortunately, the medical team found no cause for alarm and prescribed pain relief medication.

Despite the injury, Shakib’s dedication to his work was evident.

Mehedi expressed admiration for Shakib’s professionalism, noting:

“After receiving treatment, we returned to the set. Our initial plan was to call off the day’s shoot to let Shakib bhai rest.

“However, to our surprise, he insisted, ‘Let’s carry on and wrap up the day’s shoot’.”

His dedication to his craft led the crew to resume filming that evening, continuing until midnight.

Shakib Khan flew from Dhaka to Mumbai on October 22, 2024, to begin filming Borbaad.

Production officially kicked off on October 24, with the original plan to finish the first phase of filming by November 10.

However, due to the recent events, the schedule has been extended to November 16, 2024.

After a short break, the crew is set to begin the second and final phase of shooting in December 2024.

Mehedi Hassan Hridoy, known for his extensive work in television, is making his feature film directorial debut with Borbaad.

He brought together the popular on-screen pair of Shakib Khan and Idhika Paul, who previously starred together in Priyotoma.

The film is being crafted as an action-romantic feature and is slated for a nationwide release during Eid-ul-Fitr 2025.

In addition to Borbaad, Shakib Khan’s Dard is scheduled to hit theatres on November 15, 2024.

Directed by Anonno Mamun, the film will be released simultaneously in 20 countries, showcasing Shakib’s expanding international presence.

In Dard, he stars alongside Sonal Chauhan.
