Actress Saba Qamar has taken to social media to question why Netflix show ‘Sexify’ is trending in the country.

Pakistani actress, Saba Qamar is known for her versatile acting and her bold attitude.

She has been calling out the hypocritical standards of Pakistani society regarding morals and ethics.

The actress has yet again trolled the public in a sarcastic way, questioning their morals.

Her latest statement comes in relation to an adult-comedy web series that streaming on Netflix.

The Polish series, Sexify, is currently one of the top Netflix trends in Pakistan.

This web show is based on a bunch of female college students.

In order to build an innovative sex app and win a tech competition, a sexually inexperienced student and her friends must explore the daunting world of intimacy.

While the mere mention of sexual wellness is a taboo subject in Pakistani society, it is interesting to see that a sex-focused series is trending on top.

Saba Qamar has hence taken the opportunity to troll the public.

Taking to her Instagram handle, Saba Qamar posted a picture of herself relaxing at her home.

However, in the caption, she left a statement in Urdu for the brainstorming of the public. She wrote:

“Awam toh humari bohut shareef hai phir yeh trending mein No. 1 peh kyun hai? (Our people are so pious, then why is it [Sexify] trending on top?).”

She ended her statement by hashtagging Netflix and a bunch of emojis.

Many other Pakistani actors also often speak against the double standards of society since showbiz personalities in Pakistan are often judged and blamed for promoting vulgarity in the country.

Previously, another actor, Fahad Mustafa also said in a statement:

“Our people can watch Mirzapur and 365 Days, but they have a problem with drama Nand and Jalan.”

The Pakistani entertainment industry is currently taking the matter to platforms to speak against and end the double standards and taboos of society.

Many dramas and fashion shows, as well as social activities, are carried out to speak about the taboos.

Saba Qamar also often speaks about the taboos in her signature sarcastic style.

She has also spoken about her previous relationships and bashed her ex for leaving her due to societal norms after a long relationship.

On the work front, Saba Qamar has recently completed the shoot of the upcoming web series Mann Jogi. She is starring alongside Nauman Ijaz.

The series is expected to launch on an Indian streaming portal, ZEE5.
