Ranveer Singh named Ambassador for Fantasy Sports Game

On April 1, 2021, online gaming company Games24x7 announced that Ranveer Singh will be the brand ambassador for its fantasy sports game My11Circle.

Games24x7 is India’s most successful gaming business with a variety of casual and skill-based games.

It is known for games like RummyCircle, which is India’s highest-grossing online skill game.

My11Circle is a fantasy cricket game and now, Bollywood star Ranveer has been named its brand ambassador.

Ranveer will feature in an integrated campaign that is set to be released on April 6, 2021, three days before the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) begins.

Games24x7 co-founder and CEO Bhavin Pandya said:

“Films and cricket are two of India’s biggest passions.

“With the start of the T20 season, we are extremely proud to have Ranveer Singh on board.

“His energy, passion for cricket and excellence at his craft epitomise young and aspirational India.

“The new campaign led by Ranveer will be a tribute to young Indians and their ardour for the game.”

Ranveer Singh is the newest addition to My11Circle’s group of brand ambassadors.

This includes former India cricket captain Sourav Ganguly, Indian Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane, former Indian cricketer VVS Laxman as well as all-rounders Shane Watson and Rashid Khan.

Games24x7 was founded in 2019 and it claims to have 70 million active users. It is backed by investors like Tiger Global and The Raine Group.

Saroj Panigrahi, vice-president of My11Circle, said:

“Over 17 million sports enthusiasts have enjoyed using their knowledge of the game to pit their wits against their heroes such as Sourav Ganguly, Shane Watson, Rashid Khan, and VVS Laxman.

“Our latest campaign, scheduled to be launched on April 6th is the perfect amalgam of entertainment and cricket skills, and an earnest endeavour to make cricket fans feel special.”

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) decided that the upcoming IPL tournament would begin behind closed doors.

A call on letting spectators in would be taken at a later stage.

As a result, online fantasy sports platforms are expected to see a high interest from cricket fans.

Therefore, gaming platforms are preparing to engage more users during the two months, with new in-app features, sign-up bonus, virtual meet-and-greet sessions with cricketers, and contests apart from launching campaigns and promotions.

The appointment of Ranveer Singh is bound to attract more attention but it is not his only venture.

The actor is also planning to expand his music label to cover more things like videos, artwork, IP’s and other product collaborations.
