"I have fallen in love with him."
Rakhi Sawant has opened up about her new boyfriend Adil Durrani.
In early May 2022, Rakhi hit the headlines after she claimed to be in a relationship with a businessman named Adil Durrani.
She has now spoken about her new relationship as well as the reason why her marriage to Ritesh ended.
Rakhi revealed that Adil is the brother of one of her business partners.
She explained that Adil is from Mysore but he came to Mumbai to meet her.
She said: “After my breakup with Ritesh, I had gone into a depression.
“Adil entered my life and proposed to me within a month of our first meeting. I am six years older than him.
“Frankly, I was not ready but he explained to me, citing examples of Malaika Arora-Arjun Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas.
“He says he loves me very much. I have fallen in love with him.”
Rakhi Sawant also revealed that Adil gifted her a BMW but admitted that she is “confused” because his family is against their relationship.
“His family does not like the way I dress up. But I am willing to change myself if the need be. Nobody from his side is forcing me to change, though.
“He is being tortured from all sides. I am scared; I have found love with much difficulty. I hope his family accepts me.”
In Bigg Boss 15, Rakhi entered the show as a wildcard with her husband Ritesh.
However, when the show ended, the pair separated and filed for divorce.
Rakhi revealed that her marriage to him was not legitimate as he had not divorced his first wife.
“Ritesh never divorced his wife. According to Indian law, I am not his wife.
“Plus, Ritesh and I never even got physical. Post Bigg Boss, his wife levied some cases against him.”
She went on to state that she has cut Ritesh out of her life.
When asked if he was staying with his first wife, Rakhi replied:
“I don’t know who he’s staying with. Neither I am interested to know. I have nothing to do with Ritesh now.”
On what her family says about her new relationship, Rakhi said:
“My mother is saying, ‘It’s time that you lead my life, you have taken enough hardships in life’.
“I deserve happiness. How long will I keep wandering? Will I be only crying all the time?
“And I really don’t want Adil’s family to keep seeing my old videos. I want them to accept me.
“I had to build a certain image about myself consciously but that was for moving ahead in Bollywood.
“Today every girl, even the biggest heroine wears the same clothes as me.”
