"She is the very elite she opposed a few months ago."
Kangana Ranaut’s Dhaakad is set to release on May 20, 2022.
But even before the release of the film, the project has been boycotted by several netizens.
On Twitter, fans of Sushant Singh Rajput are taking out a lot of anger towards Kangana Ranaut and her film.
The involvement of Salman Khan is also important.
The root cause of the ongoing controversy is the friendship that started between Kangana Ranaut and Salman Khan.
Previously, there was a time when Kangana did not get tired of criticising Salman.
In an interview, Kangana Ranaut had even said that she does not need any Khan for the film, but recently she was seen at Salman Khan’s infamous Eid party.
Not only this, but Salman also promoted Kangana Ranaut’s Dhaakad on social media.
After making an appearance at the Bollywood star’s party, Kangana continuously praised Salman Khan, calling him her “Dabangg hero”, much to the dismay of Sushant Singh Rajput’s fans.
When Sushant Singh Rajput died in 2020, Kangana Ranaut spoke about drug use in Bollywood.
Kangana claimed that Sushant was part of a “planned murder”, adding that Sushant was side-lined by big stars and filmmakers.
In a tweet, Kangana had also claimed that Sushant had come to know about some secrets within the industry and hence was killed.
Many of Kangana’s old tweets have resurfaced and fans of the late actor are venting their anger out on the actress.
One user wrote: “Kangana Ranaut only used our sentiments we had for Sushant Singh Rajput. Now she is the very elite she opposed a few months ago.”
Another added: “Lol, a share of her trailer is all it took to get her back on track. Just so greedy.”
Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his flat in Bandra on June 14, 2020.
While some people claimed that the actor was murdered, others called it suicide.
Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut’s Dhaakad is directed by Rajneesh Ghai. The film also stars Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta.
Dhaakad is an action-thriller with some high-voltage action sequences.
As per Girish Johar, the film suits the flavour of the season as the audience these days is lapping up action dramas such as KGF 2, Pushpa and RRR.
He told Indian Express: “Dhaakad is an expensive film. These days, action films are doing quite well at the box office.
“The awareness level around the film is decent. I would be happy if the film opens anywhere in Rs 3 crore plus range.”
