A gang posed as DPD drivers to carry out a terrifying burglary at a house in Slough.

Taking place on October 24, 2024, the men are believed to be of Punjabi heritage.

Between 1:50 pm and 2:15 pm, officers were called to an address in Stoke Poges Lane where a group of people entered the house.

In a video posted on TikTok, a user named makhna.786 was with the victims and explained on their behalf that three Punjabi men knocked on the door.

When the woman answered, they claimed they were from DPD and were delivering a parcel to the house.

However, they then allegedly accosted her.

Inside the house, they allegedly taped her mouth and zip-tied her hands.

The fake DPD drivers then searched the house before making off with £15,000 worth of cash and gold.

Her husband was not home at the time but their baby was and according to the TikTok user, threats were made to the child.

Fortunately, no one was injured.

Thames Valley Police were alerted to the aggravated burglary and five men aged 22, 24, 25, 32 and 33, all from West London, were arrested.

They were later released on bail.

Investigating officer Detective Inspector Ryan Powell of the Priority Crime Team, said:

“This was a frightening ordeal for the victim, though thankfully neither her or her child were injured.

“I would appeal to anybody who was in the area of Stoke Poges Lane between around 1:30 pm and 2:30 pm on Thursday afternoon who believes that they may have witnessed any suspicious activity to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.
