"Having a baby is on my to-do list."
While Priyanka Chopra has described herself as a ‘workaholic’, the actress has now revealed that she is ready to adopt a slower lifestyle that revolves around a family.
Priyanka recently opened up about becoming a mother in the future and how she and her husband Nick Jonas will make changes to their lives whenever it happens.
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas tied the knot in Jodhpur in 2018.
The couple has talked about starting a family several times.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Priyanka was asked whether her mother, Madhu Chopra, hopes to become a grandma someday.
Priyanka said: “They’re a big part of our desire for the future. By God’s grace, when it happens, it happens.”
The actress has many projects in the pipeline but cheekily added that she and Nick are “not too busy to practice”.
However, despite her busy schedule, Priyanka revealed that she will be ready to “slow down” when a baby enters their life.
She said: “I’m okay with that. We’re both okay with that.”
In 2019, Priyanka said that having a baby was on her to-do list.
The actress shared: “Buying a home and having a baby is on my to-do list.
“For me, home is wherever I’m happy, as long as I have the people I love around me.”
Nick Jonas had previously said that having children is something that the couple ‘hope happens’.
Nick said: “She is the most important piece of the puzzle, and it’s obviously something we hope happens, and god willing, it comes together.
“You know, whatever is right. We’re blessed to have each other and have a full heart for the future, I say, and things are out of your control.
“And the foundation of a couple is strong, and you’re excited about the possibility of that.”
Priyanka also addressed the rumours that were ignited of the couple splitting up after the actress removed the ‘Jonas’ part of her name from her social media accounts in November 2021.
The actress said: “It’s just a professional hazard….
“Because of the noise of social media, because of the prevalence that it has in our lives, I think it seems a lot larger than it is.
“I think that we give it a lot more credence in real life, and I don’t think it needs that.”
On the work front, Priyanka has the Amazon Prime Video series Citadel in the works. The series co-stars Richard Madden and will be directed by the Russo Brothers.
The actress will also make her return to Bollywood, starring in Jee Le Zaraa alongside Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt.
