Several new cast members have joined.
The official trailer for the second season of Citadel has finally arrived and offers an exciting first look.
Prime Video will begin streaming this high-stakes spy drama starting from May 6, 2026, for all of its subscribers.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas returns as Nadia Sinh alongside Richard Madden, who portrays the skilled elite operative named Mason Kane.
Stanley Tucci also reprises his vital role as Bernard Orlick as the team faces a brand new global threat.
The agency known as Citadel is currently in ruins after being dismantled by the powerful and dangerous network Manticore.
Manticore is described as a very influential group that is backed by several of the wealthiest families in the world.
The official synopsis states that the trio must regroup and recruit a new team to stop a major conspiracy.
The team must “stop a conspiracy that could alter the course of humanity” before it is too late.
The trailer hints at intense action sequences and shifting alliances that will expand this already complex global conflict today.
Several new cast members have joined the series, including Lesley Manville and the talented actor known as Jack Reynor.
Other fresh faces include Ashleigh Cummings and Matt Berry, who will bring their unique skills to the show’s characters.
Lina El Arabi and Merle Dandridge also join the production alongside Gabriel Leone and the performer Rayna Vallandingham.
This upcoming second season will consist of seven episodes.
Interestingly, the studio recently decided to cancel the planned spin-offs, Citadel: Honey Bunny and Citadel: Diana.
Amazon MGM Studios announced this major decision in April 2025 regarding the future of the entire spy franchise universe.
Citadel: Honey Bunny was supposed to star Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Varun Dhawan before it was officially shut down.
The project Citadel: Diana featured Matilda De Angelis, but will no longer continue as a separate, standalone series.
The studio stated that “elements from these storylines would be incorporated into the second season of Citadel” for fans.
This means fans of the cancelled shows might see their favourite characters or plots appear in the main series.
This second chapter looks much bigger in scope than the first season, which introduced us to this secret world.
The merger of the various international storylines suggests that the world of Citadel is becoming much more unified.
Producers hope this consolidation will create a stronger, more focused story for the global audience.
