Finally releasing the first look of the upcoming series Citadel on February 27, 2023, Priyanka Chopra’s admirers were thrilled to see it.
The actress shared a few pictures from the science fiction show, which also stars Richard Madden and Stanley Tucci.
On February 27, 2023, Priyanka shared several stills on Instagram.
In one still, she is seen fighting alongside Richard while another features her in a sultry red outfit and pointing a gun at someone.
One image teases romance between the leads.
She captioned the post: “First look at @citadelonprime.”
Fans of the actress flooded the comment section with excitement and well wishes.
Even Rajkummar Rao couldn’t hold back his excitement as he wrote: “Awesome.”
One said: “Priyanka is about to slay as always.”
Another user wrote: “Cannot wait to watch this!”
In the show, Priyanka plays Nadia Sinh, an agent who is dead according to the files.
Priyanka wrapped up filming in December 2021. She posted several BTS photos from her time on the set of Citadel.
Along with the pictures, the actress penned a long note and explained how the year was.
Her caption read: “Photo dump* It’s a wrap on #Citadel Phew…
“A whole year of doing the most intense work during the most intense time.
“It could not have been possible without this incredible lot of people.
“Some you see here, some you don’t.
“It’s been hard but when you all see it.. it will be worth it! Onwards and upwards.”
The Russo Brothers, known for their work on the Avengers, are in charge of the project, which has Amazon’s support.
Citadel will also be adapted into Hindi. It is being developed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK of The Family Man fame and will have Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead roles.
Earlier in February 2023, Samantha shared an update about Citadel.
She unveiled her first look from the series and wrote:
“The mission is on fire. We have started rolling for the Indian instalment of Citadel.”
Priyanka welcomed Samantha to the “world of Citadel” and wrote:
“So excited about the world of Citadel expanding. Cannot wait to share it with you all.”
Citadel‘s creators have referred to it as a “multi-layered global franchise with interconnected local language productions from India, Italy and Mexico”.
The six-episode series is set to premiere on April 28, 2023, on Amazon Prime Video.
