On December 27, 2023, Hira Mani took to her Instagram and wished Salman Khan a Happy Birthday.

She shared a picture from Salman’s Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. But Hira playfully edited herself into the photo, replacing Aishwarya Rai.

While the photo seemed innocent enough, social media users began trolling her.

One troll said: “Salman Khan will commit suicide after seeing this.”

Another wrote: “I told you to take medicine on time!”

One follower commented: “She knows neither shame nor editing.”

A comment read: “Editing is not good ma’am.”

Netizens believed that Hira Mani was one of those celebrities who did not know what should be posted.

One follower commented: “Beauty without brains.”

Another wrote: “You are a mother of two sons. Why can’t you act a little mature?!”

A third asked: “What are you? A 14-year-old fan girl? Ridiculous!”

Another even wrote: “You look like his mom. Mental Aunty!”

Not only that, Hira’s post led some people to state that Pakistani celebrities are obsessed with Bollywood.

One follower wrote: “Why are these celebrities crazy for Bollywood?”

Another commented: “You didn’t wish the father of the nation Quaid-e-Azam. You feel it necessary to wish Salman Khan?”

One said:

“Salman Khan is still not going to give you a chance in his film.”

While many made fun of her, there were a lot of people who also found her picture hilarious and fun.

There were a lot of comments implying that Hira Mani’s post had made them laugh.

One person said: “Hahaha, only she can do this.”

Her post was not only noticed by Pakistani followers, but it reached Indians as well. They left positive comments under her post.

One said: “Hey lots of love from India!”

Hira Mani responded to a lot of the trolls with a single-heart eyes emoji. It appeared that she did not take the trolling to heart and instead laughed it off.

It is worth noting that this is not the first time Hira Mani has been trolled for her Photoshop skills.

On Instagram, she shared photos of herself, editing her waist to make her waist appear slimmer.

But fans realised the pictures were edited as the window bars in the background appeared bent.

Hira had previously spoken about what trolling had taught her.

She said: “There is a lot of disturbance [due to controversies]. One should think before speaking [and] there is no harm in it.

“One learns. People are very sensitive. They misinterpret. But why? Why can’t they be normal and simple?

“They haunt you, taunt you so much until you cry hiding your face in the pillow. They take you to a level where you don’t feel [at] peace.”
