"Cheap way to get fame.”
Pakistani television actress Hira Mani came under fire for her recent LIVE performance at Punjab Group of Colleges’ (PGC) Annual Musical Fiesta in Faisalabad.
Failing to win the audience over, the singing video of the actress has attracted hundreds of negative comments.
Whilst the Meray Paas Tum Ho (2019) star’s vocal talents are adored by her fans, many social media users expressed their disappointment with the actress for her recent performance.
The trolling began after Hira shared a video on her social media where she could be seen lip-syncing to several songs, many of which were from Bollywood films, during a concert.
Shared to Instagram with her 6.6 million followers on December 23, 2021, Hira’s video has since amassed over 80,000 likes.
Hira could be seen lip-syncing and dancing on the stage whilst wearing a stripy black and white long-sleeved top along with a light blue pair of ripped jeans.
Some social media users adored her performance, leaving positive comments:
“You’re a shining star, your acting is amazing, your voice is so melodious.”
However, many social media users were not happy with the actress’s performance, and they couldn’t help but flock to the comments section to share their thoughts.
One user wrote: “This is what happens when you have a low budget. Cheap way to get fame.”
Another added: “Get off the stage and get back to filming dramas.”
A third commented:
“Where are all the singers of Pakistan that Punjab College invited her for performance?”
The Do Bol (2019) star, who performed for students at Punjab Group of Colleges’ Annual Musical Fiesta two days in a row, kept her fans updated with snippets from the event.
Hira Mani also shared a video of herself where she could be seen singing the title track ‘Jaa Tujhey Maaf Kia’ from the drama serial Do Bol.
The setlist also included upbeat tracks like ‘Disco Deewane’ and ‘Balam Pichkari’.
Meanwhile, Hira Mani continues to receive praise for her performance as Sara in the drama serial Mein Hari Piya.
Hira made her acting debut in 2012 and rose to fame alongside her husband Salman Saqib Sheikh, popularly known as Mani, in ARY Digital’s Meri Teri Kahani.
Since her debut, Hira Mani has starred in many popular serials as the lead. This includes Jab We Wed (2014), Preet Na Kariyo Koi (2015), Sun Yaara (2017) and Yaqueen Ka Safar (2017) amongst many others.
