the two spies embark on a mission that takes them around the world
It was a star-studded affair at the Asia-Pacific premiere of Citadel.
Executively produced by the Russo Brothers’ AGBO, the Amazon Prime Video series is about Citadel, an independent global spy agency that is tasked to uphold the safety and security of all people.
But eight years ago, Citadel was destroyed by operatives of Manticore, a powerful syndicate manipulating the world from the shadows.
With Citadel’s fall, elite agents Mason Kane (Richard Madden) and Nadia Sinh (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) had their memories wiped as they narrowly escaped with their lives.
They’ve remained hidden ever since, building new lives under new identities, unaware of their pasts.
But one night, Mason is tracked down by his ex-colleague Bernard Orlick (Stanley Tucci), who desperately needs his help to prevent Manticore from establishing a new world order.
Mason seeks out Nadia, and the two spies embark on a mission that takes them around the world in an effort to stop Manticore, all while contending with a relationship built on secrets, lies, and a dangerous-yet-undying love.
Lesley Manville as Dahlia Archer and Ashleigh Cummings’ Abby Conroy will also have pivotal roles in the series.
The Asia-Pacific premiere took place in Mumbai, kicking off the global tour, which will be followed by events in Rome and in London.
It was a glitzy event, with Priyanka opting for an aqua-hued printed dress while co-star Richard kept things simple in a black suit.
Some of the most esteemed names from the Indian entertainment industry were also in attendance.
The likes of Aditi Rao Hydari, Ali Fazal and Neha Dhupia were just some of the names at the event.
Rakul Preet Singh smiled on the blue carpet as she paired high-waisted shorts with a semi-sheer shirt.
Meanwhile, Nora Fatehi turned heads in a figure-hugging black dress.
Guests at the premiere not only enjoyed the evening but also praised the stunning action, captivating twists and the enormous scale of Citadel.
Citadel is the debut of a landmark global franchise.
