“Alhumdulilah finally ALLAH ki rehmat zoya amir”
Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Amir announced the news of the birth of his baby girl on Twitter in a touching post.
Taking to Instagram, Pakistan’s cricketing ace shared his delight of the arrival of his “rehmat” [blessing] on Friday 17 July 2020.
Mohammad Amir tied the knot with his girlfriend Narjis Amir, who he met at a family event in September 2016.
Speaking to The Express Tribune about his decision to wed Narjis Amir, he said:
“I felt it was the right time for me to get into a relationship. One has to get a life partner at some stage of life, so I decided to do it now. I didn’t feel the need to wait any longer.”
Their wedding consisted of three functions. These included a mehndi, baraat and walima.
His wife regularly shares updates of their family on social media.
The couple is already proud parents to their daughter Minsa Amir. Now, the family of three has turned into a loving family of four.
Sharing a picture of Amir and their baby girl on Instagram, Narjis wrote:
“Allhumdulilah may you be in the protection of Allah always my flower. MASHALLAH.”
Taking to Twitter, Mohammad Amir posted an adorable picture of his baby girl sleeping. He revealed her name saying:
“Alhumdulilah finally ALLAH ki rehmat zoya amir” followed by several emoticons.

Several fellow cricketers congratulated the fast bowler on the birth of his baby girl, Zoya Amir.
Pakistani bowling star, Hasan Ali shared his joy on Twitter saying: “Maa Sha Allah bhai congratulations.”
All-rounder Amir Yamin also congratulated Mohammad Amir. He wrote: “Mubarak ho Amir bhai.”
Left-arm fast bowler, Junaid Khan shared his heartfelt wishes saying:
“Buhut buhut Mubarak ho bro. baray khushnaseeb ho k Allah ne beti jaisi rehmat de. Allah lambi or khushal zindagi de baby ko. Ameen.”
Pakistani actor and producer Humayun Saeed tweeted:
“Mubarak ho Brother .. Mashallah.”
Meanwhile, the left-arm fast bowler made his cricketing debut against Sri Lanka at the young age of 17 for the international Pakistani cricket team in 2009.
However, in 2010, Amir was arrested for spot-fixing. He deliberately delivered two no-balls and pleaded guilty for the same. He was given a five-year ban.
Since 2016, Mohammad Amir has returned to play cricket for his country. He has gone on to reclaim his position in the team as well as in fans’ hearts.
