"a night out at a sleazy single’s nightclub…"
Naga Munchetty hit back at a troll after they called her BBC Breakfast outfit “sleazy”.
The presenter appeared on the September 2, 2023, show wearing a grey silk dress.
She also opted for a glamorous makeup look and red lipstick.
While many viewers loved Naga’s look, one person was not too keen.
In a now-deleted tweet, the user wrote:
“What is @TVNaga01 wearing?? Looks like she’s come straight to work from a night out at a sleazy single’s nightclub…”
After seeing what the viewer had said about her outfit choice, the presenter fired back, writing:
“Sssssh… don’t tell anyone. (btw – it’s called a dress).”
Naga was praised by her fans for her funny reply, with many defending her.
One person said: “I LOVE what you wear Naga!!! ALWAYS so stylish.”
Another wrote: “What is it with people they have to criticise what people wear?
“Are they that insecure how about how they dress they have to berate others. Naga you got some great taste in clothes, wish I was as stylish.”
A third agreed:
“I love all your outfits. The most stylish presenter on TV and the most articulate.”
This comes after Naga Munchetty opened up about a debilitating leg injury that she is dealing with.
She shared a candid picture of her bandaged legs on August 31, 2023, revealing that she has been treating her legs.
Naga wrote: “Have been using these supports again for running.
“Am able to go a little bit further and faster and fear injury less. It worked today for my run home. Happy Thursday x.”
Fans of the TV presenter rallied around her and left messages of support, with some providing treatment tips.
One wrote: “Until I started running in long socks I was always pulling calf muscles. The problem stopped!
“And in 2022 I was 1st of 173 over 60s in the London Winter Run. Blessed be long socks. Brag over!”
Another said: “I have worn compression socks for about 10 years now Naga.
“Used to get a lot of calf injuries (footy related!) but since wearing the socks not one injury!”
A third said: “I used to feel self-conscious running in them until I remembered what the rest of me looked like after a 10k. The socks were not the most noticeable thing about me at that point.”
