“There’s a major twist that people won’t see coming.”
The first look of the upcoming Bangladeshi film Nadan has sparked intense curiosity after its official poster debuted earlier this week.
Directed by acclaimed cinematographer-turned-director Forhad Hosen, the film is scheduled to hit theatres this Eid-ul-Azha.
It promises a compelling mix of emotion, suspense, and raw realism.
The poster was revealed during halftime at the final match of the Celebrity Cricket Champions Trophy (CCCT) on May 13, 2025.
It immediately grabbed attention with its dark tones and haunting visuals, setting the stage for what seems to be a tense and gripping storyline.
The film stars Shamol Mawla alongside Sayma Smrity.
Speaking about his role, Mawla described the project as deeply emotional and powerful.
He expressed confidence that it will leave a strong impression on audiences.
Nadan stands out not only for its story but also for the intense circumstances under which it was filmed.
Production began on April 1, 2023, in the remote and rugged areas of Remakri, Bandarban.
Just two days into shooting, the cast and crew found themselves in the midst of a real-life crisis when an armed attack occurred nearby.
Despite the looming danger, the team made the bold decision to continue filming and completed the project under significant tension and risk.
Forhad Hosen, known for his sharp visual storytelling, believes that Nadan will surprise viewers in more ways than one.
He shared: “There’s a major twist that people won’t see coming.”
The director emphasised that the film’s intensity doesn’t just stem from the plot, but also from the real environment in which it was created.
Nadan boasts a talented cast, including Erfan Mridha Shiblu, Rakib Hossain Evan, Jewel Jahur, Saif Khan, Roshan Sharif, Kuntal Biswas and Shahadat Shishir.

With so many seasoned and emerging actors on board, Nadan appears very promising.
Sayma Smrity, the film’s female lead, praised the crew’s dedication.
She said everyone gave their best despite the physical and emotional challenges of the shoot.
Forhad Hosen’s transition from cinematography to directing has been praised as well.
His visual expertise is expected to bring striking depth to Nadan’s storytelling.
According to the team, the film explores themes of survival, inner conflict, and the quiet struggles of ordinary people.
Nadan is already being discussed as one of this Eid’s most anticipated releases.
Audiences are eager to experience the story hinted at in the poster.
