"Why isn't anyone taking any action?"

Actress and television host Mishi Khan has voiced grave concerns about what she described as Pakistan’s rising vulgar culture.

In a strongly worded Instagram video, the veteran star alleged that prostitution and obscenity are spreading rapidly without serious intervention.

She said she has personally come across numerous disturbing social media clips showing immoral activities across different major Pakistani cities.

According to her, in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, particularly women, young girls and transgender people are seen openly offering sexual services.

Mishi Khan warned that such alarming scenes of solicitation taking place at night are creating dangerous consequences for Pakistani society overall.

She lamented that law enforcement agencies, despite having the authority, have not demonstrated any meaningful ability to curb practices.

Mishi questioned: “Why isn’t anyone taking any action?”

In her statement, the actress also drew attention towards massage parlours, escort services, and modelling platforms promoting hidden prostitution.

She added that several hotels and guest houses in large cities are being used for facilitating immoral activities without fear.

Mishi Khan warned that the normalisation of such behaviour could contribute to the spread of HIV and other serious diseases.

She also highlighted rising levels of drug use among children alongside the growing trend of indecent late-night parties.

The actress criticised citizens who complain about floods and disasters, yet stay silent about increasing corruption and obscenity everywhere.

She stressed that ignoring the moral breakdown within society may invite bigger consequences than the natural calamities Pakistan regularly experiences.

Mishi Khan directly urged authorities to enforce laws more stringently and monitor suspicious locations, particularly urban hotspots and entertainment venues.

She emphasised that strong accountability must be ensured to prevent the normalisation of obscene acts, prostitution, and related illegal practices.

The actress also pointed out that repeated negligence by officials only emboldens those involved in spreading immoral businesses further.

She said prostitution, obscenity and drug culture collectively threaten Pakistan’s social fabric, family values, and public health on dangerous levels.

Her message has sparked online conversations, with supporters praising her courage.

A fan said:

“Well done Mishi for raising this disgraceful issue, which is going rampant in our society!”

Another wrote: “This is why Pakistan is going through azaab (curse).”

One commented: “Finally someone addressed something that really needed attention.”

Another revealed: “Many transgender people and women are doing this so openly. No one is there to stop them. It’s really sad to see this happening in an Islamic republic.”
