Mia Khalifa has broken her silence after she sparked controversy over her stance on the conflict in Gaza and Israel.

After militant group Hamas launched an attack on Israel, Mia appeared to support the attack and tweeted:

“If you can look at the situation in Palestine and not be on the side of Palestinians, then you are on the wrong side of apartheid and history will show that in time.”

In another post, Mia said:

“Can someone please tell the freedom fighters in Palestine to flip their phones and film horizontal.”

Mia’s comments led to widespread condemnation and resulted in her losing professional opportunities.

The former adult film star later clarified that she did not endorse violence with her comments. Instead, she said she was advocating for “Palestinian freedom”.

However, the backlash saw Mia go silent on social media.

She has now spoken out again, posting a chilling clip from the fighting to her Instagram Story.

The video is believed to have been filmed in Gaza on October 23 and shows a young boy covered in dust and shivering.

Someone asks: “What’s his name?”

Another person responds: “Salama.”

Another question follows: “Salama who?”

Although Mia Khalifa has not said anything, she has been using her platform to show solidarity with Palestine.

The post comes after Mia was forced to defend herself over her controversial posts.

She said at the time: “I just want to make it clear that this statement in no way shape or form is enticing [the] spread of violence, I specifically said freedom fighters because that’s what the Palestinian citizens are… fighting for freedom every day.”

One of the professional opportunities Mia lost due to her posts was Playboy.

Playboy announced they had severed ties with the influencer, describing her comments as “disgusting and reprehensible”.

Her content is no longer accessible on the Playboy website and in a statement, the brand said:

“We are writing today to let you know of our decision to terminate Playboy’s relationship with Mia Khalifa, including deleting Mia’s Playboy channel on our creator platform.

“Mia has made disgusting and reprehensible comments celebrating Hamas’ attacks on Israel and the murder of innocent men, women, and children.

“At Playboy, we encourage free expression and constructive political debate, but we have a zero-tolerance policy for hate speech.

“We expect Mia to understand her words and actions have consequences.”
