Pakistani actress and model Mehrunnisa Iqbal officially tied the knot in a graceful and intimate ceremony.
The Nikkah was held at the first mosque built in the United Kingdom, which is in Woking.
Known for her rising career in television, the 27-year-old chose a quiet celebration attended only by close family and friends.
The wedding, which quickly began circulating online through friends’ social media posts, featured Mehrunnisa in a red traditional bridal outfit.
The dress was adorned with gold embroidery and the actress wore matching jewellery to compliment it.
Her husband, Zakariya, opted for a classic grey suit, steering away from the traditional sherwani look.
Though Mehrunnisa has yet to share an official post, she confirmed the news by resharing friends’ Instagram stories.
Among the guests spotted at the ceremony were Shabaz Taseer and Neha Taseer, the son and daughter-in-law of late Punjab governor Salman Taseer.
Fans and celebrities alike have been showering the couple with congratulations as images and short video clips continue to make rounds online.
The marriage follows Mehrunnisa’s Mayun celebration, which had already caught the public’s eye with its warmth and colour.
She posted a heartfelt video from the event, where she appeared in a mustard-yellow ensemble made of chiffon and silk.
She wrote in the caption: “A memorable night. Need prayers.”
The Mayun ceremony was also held in a close-knit setting, with family and close friends adding to the emotional charm.
Mehrunnisa Iqbal started her career as a model and later moved into acting, quickly making her mark on the drama scene.
Her standout performance came in Ek Sitam Aur on ARY Digital, portraying Zonisha.
Audiences were especially struck by her range, having earlier delivered a memorable performance as a negative character in Ishqiya.
She also appeared in Bikhre Hain Hum, as well as Mere Ban Jao, Fasley, and Bol Kahani.
Outside of acting, Mehrunnisa is known for supporting social causes, particularly those focused on women’s rights.
She frequently takes part in awareness campaigns and uses her platform to advocate for meaningful change.
Now as she enters married life, fans continue to celebrate her journey with admiration and affection.
The wedding may have been small, but it has resonated widely, much like Mehrunnisa Iqbal’s growing presence in the world of Pakistani entertainment.
