Gurlaine Kaur Garcha, famous for her work on the BBC’s EastEnders, is now married to her partner, Max.
The actress took to Instagram to announce that her wedding took place on June 17, 2026.
She announced her engagement in June 2025.
Gurlaine posted a series of beautiful pictures on her profile.
In one of them, she and Max wore huge grins on their faces as they walked hand-in-hand.
Gurlaine looked stunning in a white dress, while Max was dapper in a suit.
In another picture, the newly-weds included a letter that paid tribute to two deceased dogs – Sandy and Cady.
The letter read: “Just days ago, on Monday, Gurlaine said goodbye to her beloved Sandy.
“Sandy was not simply a dog – she was family.
“Rescued from a difficult and traumatic life on the streets, Sandy chose love despite everything she had been through.
“She taught those around her the true meaning of trust, loyalty, resilience, and unconditional love.
“In her quiet strength, Sandy showed that even after hardship, it is possible to love fully and deeply.
“Perhaps one of the greatest things we can learn from Sandy and Cady – and from the love dogs give so freely – is that love is a choice we make every day: to trust despite uncertainty, remain loyal, find strength in one another, and hold onto hope even through life’s most difficult moments.
“While today is a celebration filled with joy, the absence of Sandy and Cady is felt profoundly.”
“Today, we take comfort in knowing that Sandy is reunited with Cady – together again, watching over this day with love.
“Though they are no longer by our side physically, they remain forever in our hearts and forever part of this moment.
“We invite you now to take a quiet moment with us as we remember Sandy and Cady with love.”
In a third post, Gurlaine and Max walked happily down a pathway towards a house.
Several users congratulated the couple on their wedding.
Balvinder Sopal, who played Gurlaine’s onscreen mother, Suki Kaur-Panesar in EastEnders, said:
“Gorgeous baby. Congratulations.”
Emma Barton gushed: “Gorgeous…congratulations, beautiful.”
Diane Parish added: “Congrats!”
Gurlaine Kaur Garcha joined EastEnders in 2019 as Ashneet ‘Ash’ Panesar, the bisexual girlfriend of Iqra Ahmed (Priya Davdra).
Ash was later revealed to be the sister of the newly-introduced Panesar brothers.
She shared a problematic relationship with her mother Suki, owing to her sexuality and her past abortion.
Gurlaine Kaur Garcha chose to leave EastEnders in 2023, and Ash departed on March 8 of that year.
