“I am the hero of all generations.”

Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed’s Love Guru was released with big expectations this Eid, but it’s the stars’ off-screen banter that’s also catching attention.

The duo recently appeared on Mashion, where they hilariously responded to mean comments and the internet can’t stop laughing.

In the video, Humayun read out a snarky comment saying the two were too old and that making them dance was cruel.

Mahira couldn’t help but laugh, agreeing it was cruel, mostly because of the scorching heat during shooting.

Their chemistry and ability to joke through criticism made fans love them even more.

Another comment threw shade at Humayun’s age while still calling him the “national hero”.

Mahira decided to skip over the rude part, but Humayun took the compliment in stride.

With confidence and a grin, he declared: “I am the hero of all generations.”

Mahira, too, was the subject of ageist remarks. One user claimed her “actions are not ending”.

Without missing a beat, Humayun replied:

“Of course, She’s a heroine. How can her actions end?”

Their responses turned what could have been a bitter segment into a light-hearted roast.

Even Ahmed Ali Butt wasn’t spared. A user boldly said they wouldn’t watch any film that includes him.

Humayun laughed and replied: “You’ve already watched all those films. They were all hits.”

The wit continued to flow throughout the video, reinforcing why this cast works so well both on and off screen.

Meanwhile, Love Guru has been met with a mix of reactions.

While some critics, like Dr Omer Adil, were unimpressed, even calling it “a sh***y piece of cinematic rubbish”.

Dr Adil claimed that high cinema occupancy was only due to Eid day hype.

But in the comments on his post, some pushed back, suggesting he simply had a personal grudge.

General public feedback tells a different story. Families are calling Love Guru a fun, lighthearted watch.

Vasay Chaudhry’s writing has been praised for its humour, while Mahira and Humayun’s chemistry continues to win hearts.

One viewer said: “This is a good film.”

Another added: “The best thing about it is Mahira Khan.”

A fan concluded: “I love Humayun Saeed, and that’s why I came to watch.”

Despite the mixed critiques, the film seems to be doing well at the box office and has connected with its core audience.
