Mahira Khan recently teased a new project by describing her upcoming role as once-in-a-lifetime.

The actor shared a series of reflective photographs in an Instagram carousel titled “Tender Mercies.”

In one of the images shared, she posted a picture of a script with a single rose resting atop.

Khan posted a picture of a script and wrote: “Playing a once in a lifetime kind of character InshaAllah.”

Although she did not name the project, the script clearly listed the characters’ names, including Bilquis and Nazir.

Fans believe that Bilquis is the character Khan is currently playing, while Nazir could be the leading male role.

The Instagram post suggested that she was busy filming and documenting the quiet moments that fill the time between scenes.

She stitched together small snapshots from her days away from home, including a moment of lying peacefully on the grass.

The actor also spent her alone time journaling and receiving beautiful flowers from her many friends and her dedicated fans.

These various images read like a catalogue of the small mercies that the actor said were carrying her through.

Another image captured a plate of rice served alongside bowls of daal and chicken with green chillies and some onions.

Khan explained that different people sent her this food every day because she truly missed her own home cooked food.

The carousel also featured a photograph of Khan dressed in a white shalwar kameez with a dupatta on her head.

She noted that the outfit was from her own clothing brand called M by Mahira in the social media post.

The actor joked that she always gets first dibs on the new pieces created by her popular brand.

In another slide, the actor posted an old childhood photograph that she said she had recently rediscovered during her travels.

She also shared a present close-up photo and wrote:

“Lines showing years on my face. A lot of living. Grateful.”

She ignored any concerns about ageism and added a very practical reminder to herself to drink much more water daily.

The carousel ended on a photograph of the sky accompanied by a verse from the Holy Quran about divine favours.

The actor will next be seen on the big screen opposite Fahad Mustafa in the film Aag Lagay Basti Mein.

This new movie is scheduled to release on the upcoming occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr for audiences across the country.
