"The producers have done Sanam dirty"
Sanam Harrinanan suffered a beauty blunder as she got ready to go on a date with Kai Fagan.
Love Island viewers were quick to pick up on it and called out the show’s producers for “doing the star dirty”.
Sanam was all smiles as she headed out on her first official date with Kai, whom she met when she entered the South African villa as a Casa Amor bombshell.
Kai received a text inviting him and the 24-year-old on their first date.
Learning it would be water-based, the text read:
“Kai and Sanam, it’s time for your first date. Please get ready to leave the villa. #Watersports #KayakForTwo.”
Sanam admitted: “I’m excited but nervous.”
But viewers at home were left distracted as she got ready.
After rushing upstairs, Sanam quickly painted her toenails while the camera zoomed in to examine her foot.
Fellow islander Jessie Wynter was even seen helping Sanam.
The chaotic scene did not go unnoticed, with some fans calling out show bosses for unnecessarily zooming in on Sanam’s “fail”.
One wrote: “The producers have done Sanam dirty, they didn’t need to zoom in on the toes lmaoooo.”
Another said: “Why did they zoom in on her toes like that? Out of order.”
A third commented: “Love Island are taking the p*** doing a close-up on Sanam painting her toes!”
However, some wondered why Sanam did not get a pedicure before entering the villa.
A viewer said: “Sanam is a new islander why didn’t she do french tip shellac? Your toes shouldn’t be this bad.”
Another agreed:
“Wondering why Sanam didn’t get her toes done before going in the villa.”
Meanwhile, her date with Kai seemed to have gone well, with the pair admitting they were glad they had got to know each other in Casa Amor.
Kai said: “Since you’ve come in here you’ve completely changed my perspective.
“It’s just effortless with you, I’m just really happy. I hope it continues because you’re the full package.”
Sanam then told him: “I literally love our chats so much, we have so much to talk about.”
Later that night, the pair and their fellow islanders were treated to a live musical performance from Jax Jones and Calum Scott.
Calum Scott, who rose to fame on Britain’s Got Talent, strutted his way into the South African villa alongside pal, DJ Jax Jones, for a performance of their brand new single, ‘Whistle’.
Ron Hall was clearly impressed as his face lit up at the sight of Calum. He later admitted in the Beach Hut that he was “the biggest fan” of Calum.
