“They should do what they themselves feel comfortable with"
Laila Zuberi shared her thoughts on the cosmetic procedures undertaken by Saba Faisal and Bushra Ansari.
During an interview, the veteran actress expressed her views on the growing trend of cosmetic work in the entertainment industry.
Laila said: “I’m unsure if cosmetic procedures are essential, but everyone has the right to look good.
“If individuals believe these procedures will enhance their appearance, they should certainly pursue them.”
She suggested that people should follow what they feel is best for them without being deterred by criticism.
Laila continued: “Criticism is inevitable, but it’s futile.
“People will always find something to criticise, but one should act according to their own beliefs and preferences.
“They should do what they themselves feel comfortable with, I believe this is the most important thing. In this context, criticism holds little significance.”
Highlighting the current popularity of cosmetic enhancements, she noted:
“In recent times, all age groups are opting for cosmetic procedures, even young girls. They have become a trend.
“These procedures are now readily available, and if they have become common, then everyone who desires them should have the opportunity to get them.”
Reflecting on the makeup trends during her career, Laila Zuberi mentioned that in her time, actors did not spend extensive hours on makeup.
“Back in our day, we didn’t believe in caking on heavy makeup, and we never spent hours in front of the mirror primping.”
Laila Zuberi gave a glimpse of how the entertainment industry has adapted to changing trends.
She highlighted the importance of personal autonomy in decisions related to appearance.

This discussion has sparked considerable interest among fans and followers.
It has added to the ongoing dialogue about beauty standards and personal choices in the public eye.
A user wrote:
“Respect for Laila Zuberi. She did not judge those who want to look beautiful through surgeries.”
Another added: “I think Saba Faisal looks pretty good for her age. If you’re putting in effort to look good, I don’t think there is anything wrong with that.”
One said: “It’s a personal choice and why are people criticising? The discussion should be on the body of work and not on body shaming.”
One person disagreed: “These ladies should use their influence to leave a positive legacy, not pursue fleeting beauty through plastic surgery.
“True beauty comes from within, and our bodies will naturally age. It’s time for them to focus on nourishing their souls.”
One questioned: “Why are they trying to change God’s creation?”
