"He continued until we got into our car."
Kannada actor Divya Suresh alleged that she was harassed by an unidentified man in Bengaluru.
The incident occurred while she was walking with her cousin to their parked car.
She was heading to the vehicle around 11;30 at night.
The actor shared the incident on social media and raised serious concerns about women’s safety.
According to the 33-year-old actor, the man followed them as they walked toward their vehicle.
He behaved obscenely throughout the encounter without stopping despite their confrontation.
He continued the harassment even after they noticed his behaviour and called him out directly.
In her Instagram Story, she wrote: “Tonight, my cousin and I were walking to our car at around 11:30 pm when a man started following us.
“While following us, he was openly touching himself.
“We noticed it immediately and called him out, but he still didn’t stop.
“He continued until we got into our car.”
In her post, the actor expressed deep concern about women’s safety in the city generally.
She said no woman should have to face harassment simply “because she’s walking at night.”
She also tagged Bengaluru Police in her post to raise awareness about the incident.
She ended her Instagram Story with a pointed question about safety promises made to women:
“Where is the safety we keep being promised?”
She also recorded the incident on camera and shared the video on her Instagram Story.

Her cousin pointed towards the man and asked her to “look at his hand over there.”
In the same clip, Divya Suresh said: “He followed us as soon as we got into the car.”
Her cousin asked her to call the police immediately after they locked the vehicle doors.
The background information on the incident said the man allegedly continued harassment afterwards.
He continued even after they got into the car and locked the doors securely.
