"Our real introduction happened on the set."
Jannatul Ferdous Oishee is entering a new professional chapter after completing major shooting for her upcoming film Soldier.
The project is especially significant as it marks her first on-screen collaboration with Dhallywood star Shakib Khan.
Fresh from the release of Noor, the actress says the transition feels meaningful and mentally fulfilling.
Speaking about the experience, she said: “I genuinely enjoyed working with the Soldier team. I’m very happy.”
She described the satisfaction that comes from a supportive environment, noting that teamwork ultimately improves creative output.
“If there’s a proper shooting atmosphere, work becomes comfortable.”
She further added: “Without professionalism, things become difficult. In that sense, the Soldier team was truly good.”
Working with Shakib Khan for the first time was both exciting and intimidating for the actress.
Oishee revealed she spent nearly ten days shooting with him, sharing most scenes alongside the star.
“As a senior, he fulfilled his responsibility. He was cooperative, and I appreciated that deeply.”
Before Soldier, their interaction was minimal, limited to a brief meeting at a public event.
The actress recalled: “Our real introduction happened on the set of this film.”
Oishee openly admitted feeling nervous before starting the shoot with such a celebrated actor.
“Shakib Khan is a very big superstar. It was my first film with him, and I didn’t know how he would take things.”
She added: “I was nervous. But I quickly realised that he makes everyone feel comfortable.”
That ease, she explained, helped dissolve her anxiety and allowed the performance to flow naturally.
Observing Shakib Khan closely offered her deeper insight into his reputation and enduring popularity.
She continued: “While working with him, I truly felt why he is such a big star.”
What impressed her most was his humility and quiet approach to hard work.
“He doesn’t highlight himself or talk about his achievements. He doesn’t treat hard work or struggle as something heavy. It feels natural to him.”
She also highlighted his temperament, saying: “Even if someone says something to him, he responds with a smile.”
When discussing feedback, Oishee revealed that Shakib Khan encouraged her to work more frequently.
“He actually asked me why I don’t work more often.”
She responded honestly, explaining that inconsistent professionalism often limits her choices.
“I told him that not every project offers a good experience.
“But I do want to work. I love acting. I want to work with good teams like Soldier.”
Looking ahead, Jannatul Ferdous Oishee remains focused on growth rather than stardom. She revealed:
“I’m searching for opportunities to play diverse characters. I want to act in films. I just need the right opportunities.”
