"It wasn’t my intention to be rude."
In October 2025, Ishit Bhatt appeared as a contestant on Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC).
The ten-year-old was in the hot seat opposite the host and Bollywood megastar, Amitabh Bachchan.
However, Ishit did not present himself in the best way as his behaviour angered many netizens.
Ishit noticeably displayed overconfident and brash behaviour.
He declared he already knew the rules and interrupted Amitabh on several occasions.
This led viewers to term Ishit as rude and obnoxious, with many blaming his parents for his behaviour.
On Instagram, the child issued an apology for his appearance on KBC, asserting that being rude to Amitabh was not his intention.
He said: “I want to sincerely apologise for my behaviour on Kaun Banega Crorepati.
“I know many people felt hurt, disappointed, or disrespected by the way I spoke, and I truly regret it.
“At that moment, I got nervous, and my attitude came out completely wrong.
“It wasn’t my intention to be rude — I respect Amitabh Bachchan sir, and the entire KBC team deeply.
“I’ve learned a big lesson about how words and actions reflect who we are, especially on such a big platform.
“I promise to be more humble, respectful, and thoughtful in the future.
“Thank you to everyone who still supported me and gave me a chance to learn from this mistake.”
Ishit Bhatt gained support from users on X following his apology.
One fan said: “It’s not your fault, kid. It’s the fault of the world where you have been born. People don’t treat you like a kid.
“For them, you are the topic of gossipians, releasing their life frustrations by commenting or trolling you.
“You would get better with time but they wouldn’t. Go enjoy.”
Another added: “He is a kid and he will learn with time.
“Do not pressurise him much. Give him a break.”
A third viewer wrote: “The apology should have come from the parents – not the kid.”
However, some fans openly blamed Ishit’s parents.
One of them said: “Kiddo, not your fault, so your apology means not much.
“The problem is faulty parenting. If someone has to feel sorry, it’s your parents.”
“Sorry to disappoint you, but it’s not easy to change ones attitude and behaviour so easily.
“Significant effort by your parents would be needed.”
During the game of KBC, Ishit ultimately left with no prize money after incorrectly answering a question on the Ramayana.
Meanwhile, Amitabh reacted to Ishit’s behaviour calmly and said:
“Sometimes children make mistakes due to overconfidence.”
