"You should be banned in this industry."
Actor and model Mahnoor Sheikh has opened up about an unpleasant experience she alleges she had with fellow actress Sana Javed.
During a recent television appearance, Mahnoor revisited a social media statement in which she had previously described Sana as “arrogant, disrespectful, rude.”
She explained that the incident took place while the two were working together on a TVC in which Sana played the lead role.
Mahnoor had been cast as Sana’s friend in the commercial, with two other girls also forming part of the production’s cast.
All of the women had initially been assigned the same makeup room at the studio, which had been divided into two separate sections.
She said: “There were two other girls with me as well.
“At the studio, we all had one makeup room, but it had two sides.”
She then recalled what she alleged happened when Sana arrived at the studio and objected to the shared arrangement.
According to Mahnoor, Sana asked for the other women to vacate the shared space.
This prompted the manager to request that Mahnoor and the other girls move to a different room.
She described the alternative room they were sent to as severely lacking in basic facilities and professional standards.
“There was no mirror there, no lights, and no AC.”
Mahnoor also alleged that Sana remained consistently rude and distant toward her throughout the entirety of the shoot.
When asked whether anyone from the industry had questioned her decision to share such a personal experience publicly on social media, Mahnoor said:
“After me, many makeup artists from our industry also came forward.
“They shared their own experiences and posted their stories too.
“I just shared the story that happened to me.”
Her comments reignite a controversy that first broke publicly back in 2022 when multiple models and makeup artists came forward.
Model Manal Saleem had taken to her Instagram Stories and requested all clients to stop working with certain actresses and celebrities.
Manal said that with their “self-entitled attitudes, they think we are ‘do takay ki model’,” adding that the actress had said this directly to her face.
Another model also shared a disturbing encounter, recalling that when she asked Sana for a boomerang video together, the actress responded:
“You models do anything for fame, right? Act like you and me are friends?”
The actress then reportedly walked away without any further engagement, leaving the model feeling publicly humiliated.
Makeup artist Ikram Gohar also came forward with his own account of alleged mistreatment.
He alleged that Sana made a significant fuss over a golden eye shadow and told him, “you don’t know how to do makeup.”
Gohar publicly responded by writing: “Now I will just say that Sana Javed you are unprofessional and horrible… we are not…
“You should be banned in this industry.”
Sana Javed has not publicly responded to the renewed circulation of these allegations following Mahnoor Sheikh’s latest television appearance.
