“I want to stay occupied with dramas.“
Keya Payel has announced she will concentrate on television dramas rather than delving into OTT platforms or films for the time being.
Currently, she is immersed in filming her new drama, Ami Nah Amra, and has a packed schedule for the upcoming month.
On November 6, 2024, she began shooting a one-hour drama directed by Rafat Mozumder Rinku.
The Bangladeshi actress is once again teaming up with Jovan, with whom she has shared the screen in over 60 dramas.
These include hits like Shesh Bhalobasha, Dekha Hobe Bondhu, and Prothom Premer Moto.
Speaking about her latest project, Keya described it as a family-oriented piece that aims to entertain while imparting an educational message.
The actress shared: “I love dramas that offer a little bit of everything. This one will make you laugh and leave you with a valuable lesson.”
Keya emphasised that this drama is a complete package, sure to resonate with viewers.
As the actress prioritises her work in dramas, she has plans to film special projects for Valentine’s Day and the end of 2025.
Keya explained: “I want to stay occupied with dramas. I have plans to film some special projects for Valentine’s Day and the end of the year.
“Since the beginning, I’ve been dedicated to quality work, and I aim to continue delivering meaningful roles with strong stories.”
Reflecting on her collaboration with Jovan, she praised him for his punctuality and supportive nature, stating:
“Jovan bhai is always punctual and incredibly supportive. He is down-to-earth and a wonderful person.”
When asked if anything about him ever annoys her, she revealed:
“There’s nothing negative to say. He’s a positive person and a talented actor—that’s why we’ve worked together so often.”
Recently returning from a personal trip to London, Keya described her time there as “wonderful”, filled with new experiences.
Now that the year is drawing to a close, she is back in action.
She revealed:
“After a brief break, shooting has begun in full swing again.”
Keya dedicates herself to preparing thoroughly for each role, often studying her character at home.
She said: “I always make sure I’m well-prepared.”
