Nadia Khan has opened up about her first marriage, which she now considers her “biggest mistake”.

Nadia was a guest on Good Morning Pakistan, where she discussed her past experiences.

She candidly revealed the regrets she holds regarding her decision to marry at a young age, despite her family’s objections.

Nadia shared that her family had advised her to focus on her education and personal growth before entering into a marriage.

She admitted: “In my case, I was the fool who destroyed herself after getting into a marriage because no one from my family wanted me to get married.”

Reflecting on her stubbornness, she acknowledged: “It was solely my decision, and I now see it as the biggest mistake of my life.”

Nadia disclosed her father’s strong support and warnings against marriage at such a young age.

But back then Nadia felt a desperate need for a relationship and chose to ignore their advice.

The actress said: “I was exploring the world, I was working, I was successful, and I should be blamed for my wrong decision.”

She recounted a dream her mother had about her marriage, which she dismissed at the time.

Nadia recalled: “My mother saw me standing with a bowed head, but I didn’t listen to her warnings.”

On the show, she also explained that she was a simple graduate from Pakistan who faced challenges in securing a reputable job in Dubai.

Nadia Khan initially accepted low-paying work, which she had believed was sufficient at the time.

Sharing the experiences of close friends who also married young without completing their education, she highlighted the financial hardships they encountered.

Nadia shared:

“One of my friends had to restart her education after her husband struggled to earn a decent income.”

She noted that her friend eventually invested 10 years into her education and opened her own Montessori.

Meanwhile her husband continued to face employment challenges.

Through her reflections, Nadia emphasised the importance of prioritising education before marriage.

Nadia Khan shared her journey as a cautionary tale for young women.

She advised: “First complete your education and then go for marriage.”

By speaking out about her regrets, Nadia Khan hopes to encourage others to make more informed decisions about their futures.
