"we wanted to tell a story that reflects the realities"

Pardhan, the latest original series from Chaupal OTT, has received an encouraging response from viewers after premiering exclusively on the Punjabi streaming platform on June 18, 2026.

The six-episode series has quickly attracted attention for its portrayal of student politics, exploring power struggles, friendships, ambition and the consequences that come with leadership.

Directed by Amit Prasher and written by Vivek Saini, Pardhan centres on the complex and often turbulent world of college campus elections, a subject rarely explored in Punjabi entertainment.

Set against the backdrop of student politics, the story follows a group of young people.

As they navigate leadership battles, shifting alliances, personal ambitions and the consequences of power, their lives become intertwined.

At its core, the series examines questions that extend beyond college campuses.

This includes how far ambition can take a person, what happens when friendships collide with power and the sacrifices made in the pursuit of leadership.

Pardhan‘s ensemble cast features Karan Sehmbi, Aatish, Tarlok Singh, Sunny Kahlon, Navdeep Bajwa, Priyanka Khera and Karman Kaur Miglani.

Their performances bring depth and authenticity to a narrative that is both contemporary and rooted in the realities of youth politics.

One of Pardhan‘s key strengths is its concise six-episode format, allowing the story to unfold at a steady pace while maintaining tension and intrigue throughout.

Layered characters, unexpected twists and emotionally charged moments help keep audiences engaged from beginning to end.

Speaking about the series, director Amit Prasher said:

“With Pardhan, we wanted to tell a story that reflects the realities, emotions, and challenges that young people experience while navigating power, ambition, and identity.

“We are grateful for the positive response the series has received from audiences and hope it continues to spark meaningful conversations.”

Pardhan also marks an important milestone in Chaupal OTT’s expanding slate of original programming.

As Punjabi audiences continue to embrace digital entertainment, the series reflects the platform’s commitment to producing fresh, relevant and high-quality stories that resonate with viewers across generations.

With its contemporary subject matter, compelling narrative and engaging performances, Pardhan further strengthens Chaupal OTT’s position as a platform dedicated to expanding the scope of Punjabi storytelling in the OTT space.
