Bigg Boss 12 contestant Jasleen Matharu has revealed that she is dating a cosmetic surgeon from Bhopal.
She had appeared on the popular reality show with devotional singer Anup Jalota as part of a ‘jodi’. They were allegedly in a relationship but they never confirmed or denied it.
The singer has now revealed that she is dating Dr Abhinit Gupta.
She went on to say that she was introduced to him by Anup, whom she referred to as her “guru”.
Jasleen said: “Anup ji introduced me to Abhinit. Anup ji and Abhinit’s father are friends.”
They had been virtually dating for three months before she travelled to Bhopal with her brother to get to know him and his family. However, they did not stay with him.
Jasleen said: “I was in Bhopal and back recently after staying there for 15 days. I met Abhinit and his family. We spent a good time in Bhopal.
“We could not go around much due to the lockdown but we had a lovely time.
“This was our first meeting but we’ve been talking over calls and video calls for three months. We even shot for a song in Bhopal.”
Jasleen revealed more about her song and said that she shot the music video at her new boyfriend’s farmhouse.
“It was a lovely trip. I had to shoot a music video. I also had an appearance for a lounge.
“It’s a sad song, which will soon release on YouTube.”
Although Jasleen and the cosmetic surgeon are confirmed to be in a relationship, Abhinit is currently in the midst of divorce proceedings from his first wife.
It was reported that Abhinit got married in 2019, however, the marriage only lasted for a matter of weeks.
Jasleen Matharu is aware of Abhinit’s divorce and stated that he has done nothing but be honest with her.
“Look, Abhinit has been crystal clear with me. I know everything about that matter. There are no apprehensions from my side. But we are definitely not getting married soon.”

When asked why, Jasleen responded:
“One, Abhinit’s divorce has to come through. Two, I need to concentrate on my career as far as my immediate future is concerned.”
Jasleen’s mother Jaspreet had recently shared a picture of the couple and referred to Abhinit as her son-in-law, however, Jasleen insisted that marriage is not on the cards anytime soon.
“Marriage is not on the cards right now. At least not for the next two-three years. Abhinit wants me to work. He encourages me to pursue my dreams.”
On the work front, Jasleen Matharu has said that she is open to doing a variety of projects.
“I am looking forward to doing TV shows, be it reality shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi or Nach Baliye or be it fiction. I am also open to movies and web shows.”
Her film Woh Meri Student Hai, which also stars her mentor Anup Jalota has been halted due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Jasleen said: “Four days work is still left for the film, which couldn’t be completed due to the lockdown. I will finish that first and then get on with other projects.”
