The 2009 Indian Premier League (IPL) starts on the 18th April in South Africa. After the Twenty20 competition was moved to Africa due to security issues amidst the elections taking place in India at the same time.
Many feel the competition will not have the same vibe it had in India last year whilst others think that the move is bringing global attention to this huge Indian owned contest.
Players from around the world will be participating in this exciting tournament of 59 Twenty20 games. With the final to be held in Johannesburg on Sunday 24th May 2009.
