Indian Man shoots Student who Rejected Him

An Indian man shot a student whom he was in love with for rejecting him.

The shocking incident happened in the town of Surajpur, Chhattisgarh.

As the young woman lay injured, the scorned lover took his own life.

The injured woman was taken to a hospital in Ambikapur in a serious condition.

It was reported that a young man named Sanjay Bhagat was in love with Anamika Sahu, a final-year student.

But she did not feel the same way and had rejected his advances on numerous occasions.

This enraged Sanjay, who decided to take extreme action against the woman he loved.

Anamika had been on the college campus sitting with friends when Sanjay approached the group.

He shouted at them to leave the area and they obliged.

The Indian man then took out a pistol and fired it at Anamika, hitting her in the stomach.

She fell to the ground, lying injured in a pool of blood.

Sanjay realised what he had done and looked at Anamika. Seeing her in pain upset Sanjay and he took his own life.

Anamika was taken to hospital while Sanjay was pronounced dead.

An investigation is underway to determine what exactly happened.

While the incident was a shocking one, this is not the first time that a scorned lover has attacked their romantic interest.

In February 2021, a man attacked a woman with an axe in an act of revenge.

Rahul Goud was believed to be a family friend and had visited Vimala’s house in the past for family events.

He soon developed feelings for her.

Goud began harassing her over the phone and tried to coerce her into a relationship despite knowing she was married with a child.

Vimala had repeatedly warned him about his advances but he continued to harass her.

In January 2021, Goud threatened to make false claims about her to her husband. Unable to take the harassment anymore, Vimala filed a police case against him.

Goud was arrested and briefly imprisoned.

After he was released, Goud sought to take revenge against Vimala for rejecting him. He came up with a plan to kill her.

CCTV footage showed Goud chasing after the woman with an axe in the courtyard of her home.

It was reported that she suffered minor injuries to her arm as the axe struck her when she tried to protect herself. The child she was holding was unharmed.

Vimala was taken to hospital for treatment.

The Indian man was later arrested.
