Indian singing reality show Indian Idol is coming back for its 12th season and is premiering on November 28, 2020.
In one of the promo videos shared recently, all three judges were moved to tears listening to a contestant’s inspirational story.
Neha Kakkar, Himesh Reshammiya and Vishal Dadlani got emotional when hearing the revelations of Yuvraj Medhe.
A man who used to sweep the floors on the set of the show has triumphed against all odds to qualify as a contestant on season 12.
Sony TV tweeted a promo showing Yuvraj at the audition.
His performance makes the judges emotional.
Neha, Himesh and Vishal gave Yuvraj a standing ovation and he kneeled and touched his forehead to the ground as a mark of gratitude.
In the video, Yuvraj said: “I used to take notes of the tips and suggestions that judges gave after each performance on Indian Idol.
“I improvised my singing, keeping those in mind.”
Dropping the promo on Twitter, Sony TV captioned it as:

Neha Kakkar’s Reaction on Indian Idol
Neha Kakkar is an Indian Bollywood singer who herself participated in the second season of Indian Idol.
At the time, she was eliminated early but returned as a judge in season 6 and now again for season 12.
The singer has been on a roll ever since she began her career in Bollywood.
In early 2020, she has become the second-most viewed female artist on YouTube, leaving Selena Gomez and Becky G way behind.
During the auditions, when Yuvraj walked on the stage and introduced himself, Neha immediately recognised him and said that she had seen him before.
To which he told them that he has cleaned confetti for Salman Ali and Sunny in previous seasons.
The judges were overwhelmed seeing him on the show and found it to be a very proud moment that he would be performing on the stage.
His brilliant voice made Neha very emotional and she could not stop praising him.
What about Himesh?
Himesh Reshammiya is a popular Indian Bollywood singing sensation who has been a part of many iconic Bollywood movies.
He joined the Indian Idol judges panel in season 11, replacing Anu Malik.
Yuvraj’s performance made the judges extremely happy. While praising him, Himesh Reshammiya said:
“Indian Idol is such a huge stage and has inspired so many people.”
“I feel so happy watching you perform that the one who has worked backstage for so long now finally has got the chance to be on stage.
“I wish you all the luck for your future.”
Vishal Dadlani
Vishal Dadlani is a popular Indian music production, singer and songwriter.
Known predominantly for his work as a music composer he has also recorded with the likes of Akon, The Vamps, Imogen Heap and Diplo.
He has previously appeared as a judge for Indian Idol‘s sister show Indian Idol Junior for minor Indian singing sensations.
