How did Amber-Rose Badrudin get on to The Apprentice?

Amber-Rose Badrudin is currently a candidate on BBC’s The Apprentice 2025.

She is the owner of a convenience store and is looking to scale up her business with Lord Alan Sugar’s investment.

Originally from London, Amber-Rose built up her business using the power of social media.

The 24-year-old recently took to her handles to share some insights about how she successfully got on to The Apprentice.

Captioning the post, Amber-Rose wrote: “Being a candidate on The Apprentice takes a lot more than you think!

“Here’s some BTS from my audition journey – from submitting my first online application all the way to Episode One in Austria!”

She revealed that she submitted her application in January 2024, and following its success, she was invited to the first round of in-person auditions for the show.

Amber-Rose Badrudin added that the first round was intimidating to her but despite this, she made it to Round Two.

Amber-Rose was convinced that she would not advance to the next stage but in March 2025, she received an email that invited her to the third round of the selection process. 

She went on to state: “I took every stage of auditions so seriously as it was so highly competitive but the further I got, the more I felt it wasn’t an option to not be selected.

“I wasn’t sure how many rounds would be left or what they would even expect of me.

“I just turned up and adapted each time!”

Divulging her reaction to the success of her application, Amber-Rose Badrudin continued:

“I received the news that I had been selected to be a part of Series 19! 

“I genuinely dreamt of being on the show for so long and I actually did it! 

“I cried and just stared at the walls for hours in disbelief.

“The morning of the arrival shots, I remember feeling, ‘How did I end up here?’

“At this point, I was able to start feeling excited and looking forward to starting my journey.”

Amber-Rose explained: “A lot of people perceive me to be confident and in many ways, I am.

“But during the auditions, I definitely wasn’t the ‘loudest’ person in the room.

“I didn’t play into being a character or get mixed up in any gossip. I just stayed true to myself and stayed focused.

“That’s why it felt like more of an accomplishment.”

Amber-Rose Badrudin also posted a picture of her filming her exit scene in a taxi before entering the process and entering the house.

Amber-Rose added: “Honestly, if you wonder why us candidates make such a huge deal about being on the show, it’s because it takes over our lives for so long.

“We pour so much into the audition stages, let alone the actual tasks and hopefully winning the investment.

The candidate concluded by revealing that she “did it”. She said:

“And your girl did it. I had an 8 am call time before handing over my business plan and meeting my fellow candidates for the first time.

“I got picked up in a taxi, handed over my passport and belongings and went straight to the boardroom.

“And before I knew it, I was in the glaciers of Austria with random strangers who suddenly became my ‘team’.

“No dream is too big or too silly. If you want something, go and get it!”

Along with Anisa Khan, Amber-Rose Badrudin is currently one of two South Asian contestants remaining in The Apprentice 2025.
