Himanshi Khurana went into ‘Serious Depression’ after Bigg Boss

Himanshi Khurana revealed that she became extremely depressed after her stint on Bigg Boss 13.

The actress and singer appeared on the show alongside Shehnaaz Gill, Asim Riaz and the late Sidharth Shukla.

Himanshi was evicted by her housemates on day 70.

Despite spending just over a month inside the house, Himanshi explained that while her time on the show helped her, she had some bad experiences, both during and after the show.

She revealed that she suffered from panic attacks whilst on the show, blaming the negativity inside the house.

Speaking to Preeti Simoes on her talk show, Himanshi said:

“When I went into the Bigg Boss house, everybody thought that this was life-changing, but that was not the reality.

“I went into depression because of the negativity in the house.

“I suffered so much that it took me almost two years to come out of it.

“I went into severe depression after Bigg Boss, which started affecting my heart.”

Himanshi went on to say that after exiting the show, she went into a “severe depression”, which led to her developing a heart issue, something only her close friends knew at the time.

She continued: “I used to get panic attacks before going to the events, shoots and while I was dancing at Afsana Khan’s wedding, I got a heart issue, due to which I was rushed to the hospital.

“I was in the hospital, and only my close friends knew about it.”

Although the show ended in early 2020, Himanshi stated that she is still recovering.

She said: “Working on the reality show was not such a good experience of my life and caused me depression.

“It took me so long to recover and build my life again. I am still recovering from it.”

During her stint on the show, Himanshi Khurana revealed that she had been in a relationship with a man named Chow for nine years.

After exiting the reality show, she announced her breakup with Chow.

Since 2020, she has been dating her Bigg Boss co-contestant Asim Riaz, who had confessed his feelings for her on Bigg Boss 13.

Following her time on the show, Himanshi has featured in a number of music videos.

She also became the first Punjabi singer to feature on a billboard in New York Times Square.
