Gordon Ramsay has entered the Indian market with the launch of his first Street Burger outlet at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport.

The 60-seater outlet has begun serving customers, offering gourmet burgers, loaded fries, and indulgent desserts.

It marks a step in Ramsay’s global strategy of expanding into high-traffic travel hubs.

Street Burger Delhi combines the chain’s signature menu with adaptations for Indian tastes and customs, meaning the menu features no beef – a staple of most Street Burger outlets in other parts of the world.

The slaughter of cows, considered sacred by Hindus, and the sale or possession of beef were made illegal in Delhi in 1994.

Instead, travellers can sample creations such as the Tandoori Paneer Burger with spiced paneer, Greek yoghurt, and curry mayo, or the Butternut Bhaji Burger with mango chutney and coriander mint yoghurt.

Alongside these India-exclusive dishes, the menu features international staples like the GFC (Gordon’s Fried Chicken) Burger and a modified Hell’s Kitchen Burger.

Diners can also order “Hotter than Hell Fries” topped with molten cheese, crisp vegan bites, sticky toffee pudding, milkshakes, and salads.

Street Burger’s India entry has come through a partnership with Travel Food Services (TFS), one of the country’s largest food and beverage operators in the travel sector.

The Delhi airport location was chosen for its immense footfall and ability to test premium fast-casual dining with a captive audience.

Andy Wenlock, CEO of Gordon Ramsay Restaurants Global, said:

“Indian airports are the new stage for our culinary journey, and we are excited to see how travellers embrace these vibrant, flavour-intense dining experiences.”

Indira Gandhi International Airport handled nearly 78 million passengers in 2024 and recently expanded Terminal 1 to handle 40 million domestic flyers annually.

Street Burger joins a wave of global brands eyeing India’s food market. Wagamama entered in July 2025, while PF Chang made its debut in January 2024.

Unlike many, however, Street Burger highlights a chef-driven approach to fast-casual dining.

Launched in London in late 2020, Street Burger quickly grew across the capital with nine sites in just two years.

The brand also expanded into South Korea through a partnership with Samsung Welstory, serving corporate cafeterias nationwide.

In India, Ramsay’s footprint is set to grow further, with at least five more outlets expected to open by 2027.

Varun Kapur, managing director of TFS, said: “Indian travellers today expect global-quality dining that’s fast, relevant and elevated.”
