Freida Pinto and her photographer husband Cory Tran have become parents to a baby boy.
The Slumdog Millionaire actress took to Instagram on November 21, 2021, to wish Cory on his birthday with the first pictures of their newborn son.
Alongside a photo of Cory sleeping with the baby on his chest, Freida wrote:
“Happy Birthday Dada Cory!
“I celebrate you my husband, friend and partner in life.”
She also shared a picture of herself snuggling the baby.
In the caption, Freida added:
“To see you become not just a Dad but Super-Dad makes me so emotional and fills me with joy.
“It also gives this sleep-deprived Mama a break and you have no idea how much I appreciate that!
“I am so grateful and in love with how we do life together.
“Love you madly. Rumi-Ray, you are one lucky boy.”
The pictures instantly went viral and have since amassed over 27,000 likes.
Cory also shared the photos on Instagram and wrote:
“Best birthday gift you could ever ask for.
“Thank you for our sweet boy. I’m in awe of you more and more every day.
“Watching you give birth to Rumi-Ray was truly a miracle, you are such a warrior.”
The couple is yet to reveal the birth date of the baby boy.
Freida is best known for her roles in British and American films such as Slumdog Millionaire and Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
The actress announced her pregnancy in June 2021.
In October 2021, Freida revealed that she married Cory during the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020 following their engagement in November 2019.
During an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show in October 2021, Freida said:
“I should clear the air. I wasn’t planning a big fat Indian wedding.”
“It was just going to be something pretty and simple…
“But then Covid happened and it’s still happening and we just realised we were going to be planning this for the rest of our lives and probably never doing it.”
Freida added: “Honestly, I have to say if any of you have planned a wedding, you probably know this, I do not want stomach ulcers from planning my own wedding.
“This was perfect! We got married and then we got to go home and take an afternoon nap.”
Freida also revealed that she met Cory Tran through Aaron Paul, her co-star in the drama series The Path.
The actress was last seen in the sci-fi film Needle in a Timestack alongside Orlando Bloom and the Netflix psychological thriller film Intrusion.
Freida Pinto will next be seen in the upcoming period drama Mr Malcolm’s List.
