Farhan Akhtar to Marry girlfriend Shibani Dandekar in May?

It seems Bollywood may have its next wedding in May 2019, according to a cassette that was played.

After spending a year together, it looks like Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar are all set to take their relationship to the next level.

The couple got a lot of attention when they subtly announced their engagement. Farhan posted a picture of them holding hands on Instagram.

The picture was accompanied by the message:

“There’s something so real about holding hands, a kind of complex simplicity, saying so much by doing so little.”

While it looked fairly normal, fans quickly noticed that the rings were on their ring fingers.

Though neither of the rings were of the usual sort, Instagram users were convinced that Farhan and Shibani were engaged.

Several messages of congratulations filled up the comments thread.

Now, it has been reported that the couple will be getting married as Farhan sort of confirmed that he will tie the knot in April or May 2019.

Farhan seemingly confirmed the news on an episode of TapeCast, where celebrities answer pre-recorded questions.

The actor appeared with Bhumi Pednekar and she played a cassette marked ‘Do not Play’ for Farhan. She hoped that will be some interesting questions in store for him and there was.

It was Shibani’s voice on the cassette asking: “Hey Farhan, when are we getting married?”

The question drew a huge smile from the actor but he avoided the question as he said:

“I think she is having a lot of fun with a lot of news that is going around currently, about us looking for wedding planners.”

Bhumi was keen to get an answer from Farhan so she pressed and asked: “Are you though?”

Farhan replied: “It may be April or April be ‘May’.”

Although it is not an official confirmation, if it is true then that means we are just a couple of months away from Farhan and Shibani’s wedding.

As well as supposedly revealing his wedding month, Farhan spoke highly of his relationship with Shibani.

“She is an amazing woman. It’s been very special, the last year… You know we’ve been getting to know each other and I couldn’t be happier about it.

“But with the social media world again, we are constantly being told about the things we should be doing.

“But ya, I have never felt so comfortable to share my personal stuff but I don’t know, I just feel like somehow with celebrating all this, it just feels very natural to me.”
